È splendida la grande retrospettiva di Alexander Calder (1898-1976) al Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma: la mostra va dagli animaletti che l’artista piega all’età di 11 anni come dono ai genitori fino ai mobile degli anni cinquanta, passando per i fili di ferro “figurativi”, tra cui il Romulus and Remus del 1928. Le diverse tappe della creatività calderiana, il suo modus operandi e la stessa esistenza nella sua casa-atelier di Saché sono fermate da Ugo Mulas in una serie di scatti che accompagnano la mostra. The great retrospective in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome dedicated to Alexandre Calder is simply gorgeous: the exhibition goes from the little animals that the artist realized when he was 11 as a present for the parents, till the mobile of the 50’s. It presents also some sculptures more “figurative” in wiry, including the Romulus and Remus (1928). The different steps of Calder’s creativity, his modus operandi, even his private life in his house-atelier in Saché are reported by some Ugo Mulas photos.
