Perché un blog? Il blog è nato dall’esigenza di organizzare in un data base il mio ampio archivio di immagini e informazioni raccolte in anni di studi sulla scultura – principalmente italiana – del XIX e XX secolo. Al momento della scelta puramente tecnica del mezzo da utilizzare, ho ritenuto che l’unica soluzione sensata fosse quella di pubblicare in rete l’archivio e dunque condividere le mie informazioni in modo che anche altri ne potessero usufruire e che soprattutto vi potessero contribuire. Dopo oltre un anno di post devo infatti ringraziare chi mi ha inviato foto, indicazioni e soprattutto correzioni.

Why a blog? This blog was born from the need to organize in a data-base my large archive of pictures and information that I’ve collected during years of studies, I’ve dedicated to the sculpture – mainly the Italian sculpture – of the XIX and XX centuries. When I had to choose the tecnical medium, I’ve thought that the only solution was to publish the archive on the web and so to share my information with everybody; in the way that also someone else could enjoy the matter and also give his contribute. After more than a year I’ve in fact to thank who has sent me photos, indications and mainly markings.
